The Marysville Police Department has successfully lifted the lockdown at Marysville Pilchuck High School (MPHS) after responding to a report of an active shooter. The initial alert was triggered by an internet chat to a Veterans Crisis Line, which originated from an IP address in California. As a precaution, MPHS was placed on lockdown while local law enforcement conducted a thorough search, confirming that there was no immediate danger to students or staff. The coordinated efforts included the Marysville Fire District and multiple law enforcement agencies from North Snohomish County. In the aftermath of the incident, the police department is collaborating closely with MPHS and the Marysville School District to provide ongoing support to students, faculty, and families.

Emotional and medical assistance is being offered on-site by the Marysville Fire District. This incident highlights the importance of swift response measures in ensuring community safety. Plans are being developed to help the school resume normal operations as quickly as possible.
