Spring cleaning? City events can help

Marysville, WALocal News

The City of Marysville is gearing up for spring with two community initiatives designed to support residents in their spring cleaning efforts. Announced on March 20, 2025, the Clean Sweep event will occur on April 26, offering free disposal services for various household items at the Public Works facility. Residents can dispose of items ranging from yard waste to electronics, with a limit on certain items like tires and batteries. On May 3, the Shred-A-Thon will provide an opportunity for secure shredding of personal documents, where each resident can bring up to six file-size boxes. Both events not only facilitate responsible waste disposal but also encourage community participation and environmental stewardship.

The city reminds participants to bring proof of residency and to follow specific guidelines for acceptable items. Donations to the Marysville Community Food Bank will also be accepted at the Shred-A-Thon. These initiatives reflect the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community well-being and sustainability.
