Marysville, WALocal News

After nearly three years, Carlo Ponte, who was reported missing in July 2021, has been found safe in Seattle. The Marysville Police Department confirmed that Carlo is in good health and was located with his father, Jorge Ponte, who has been charged with Custodial Interference. Jorge allegedly took Carlo from his mother, which resulted in an arrest warrant being issued. The breakthrough in the case came from an anonymous tip that directed law enforcement to the north Seattle area. With collaboration from the Violent Offender’s Task Force, police successfully recovered Carlo and arrested his father.

This incident underscores the critical role of community vigilance in such cases. The Marysville Police expressed their appreciation for the public's help and the media's role in raising awareness. This resolution brings closure to a distressing chapter for Carlo's family and the community.
