The City of Marysville has opened a public review period for its draft 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, which details the intended use of $365,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. This plan aims to address the needs of low- to moderate-income residents with several impactful initiatives. Among the recommended projects are assistance programs for elderly and disabled individuals at risk of homelessness, meal provisions for low-income seniors and children, and minor home repairs for seniors. Furthermore, the plan emphasizes the importance of supportive housing, particularly for homeless families, and includes infrastructure upgrades at Comeford Park to ensure ADA compliance. Residents are invited to view the draft plan online and provide their comments by April 20 to Kathryn Bird, Associate Planner.

A public hearing will take place on April 28, allowing the City Council to consider community feedback before adopting the final plan. Engaging the public in this process underscores the city’s commitment to transparency and community involvement. The initiatives outlined in the plan reflect a targeted approach to improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations in Marysville.
