On January 4, 2025, the City of Marysville will host a free post-holiday recycling and tree-cycling event aimed at encouraging sustainable disposal practices among residents. Scheduled from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.

at 1049 State Ave. , the event invites locals to bring clean cardboard, Styrofoam, bubble wrap, and natural Christmas trees for recycling. Supported by community partners such as the Marysville Sunrise Rotary and Everett Community College's Environmental Action Club, this initiative underscores the city's commitment to environmental stewardship. Additionally, attendees can contribute nonperishable food items or cash donations to benefit the Marysville Community Food Bank, enhancing the event's community engagement aspect. Specific guidelines for acceptable materials will help streamline the recycling process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
