Marysville's City Council invites residents to review the 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) concerning the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This report assesses progress in achieving the priorities set forth in the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan. Funded projects include significant renovations to the Marysville Community Food Bank and essential services for low-income seniors, allowing them to stay in their homes. Additionally, the program provides in-home meals for those in need, including low-income schoolchildren. A public hearing will occur at 7 p.

m. on Sept. 8 at the Marysville Civic Center, where residents can provide oral and written comments. Written submissions must be received by 4 p. m.

on the same day, facilitating community engagement. This review process underscores the city's dedication to transparency and responsiveness to local needs. The CDBG program serves as a vital resource for addressing housing and food insecurity in the community.
