Stabbing death on 2nd Street in Marysville under investigation

A stabbing incident in Marysville resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man early Monday morning, triggering a police investigation. Officers responded at 6:17 a. m. after a neighbor discovered the victim unresponsive on the sidewalk and initiated CPR. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by both police and the Marysville Fire Department, the man died at the scene.

A police K-9 and drone were deployed to assist in the search for any possible suspects, indicating the seriousness of the investigation. Detectives from the Marysville Investigations Unit are currently working to gather information and evidence. Authorities have reassured the public that they believe this incident is isolated and that there is no ongoing threat.
