City hosts Spring into Giving food drive
The Marysville Community Food Bank urgently requests food donations as its resources reach critically low levels. Residents can contribute through May 14 at the Marysville Civic Center and Community Center. Essential items include canned proteins, cereal, and baby supplies like diapers and formula. Food bank director Amy Howell highlighted the dire situation, stating, “Our food supplies are depleted. We urgently need help to continue feeding families in our community.
” The food bank also accepts online donations through its website, expanding the ways community members can assist. This drive addresses the rising food insecurity affecting families in the region. Last year, the food bank served over 2,000 families, indicating a growing demand for support. Community engagement is vital to replenish supplies and sustain operations.
