Marysville, WALocal News

Construction has commenced to reopen Mother Nature’s Window, a 34-acre park in Marysville that has been closed to the public since 1999. The city plans to create recreational and educational opportunities while preserving the park's natural setting, with project completion expected by December 2025. Matia Contractors, Inc. oversees the construction, which features a new parking lot, sidewalks, stormwater management, and trail improvements. The project budget totals $1.

47 million, with half funded by a $750,000 federal HUD grant. The city aims to enhance its ability to monitor and maintain the park, which holds significant ecological value. A public opening is scheduled for spring 2026, allowing residents to enjoy this natural space. Future improvements are planned, although funding for those phases has not yet been secured. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to improving access to natural areas for community engagement and education.
