Traffic delays are set for September 16 in the Sunnyside area due to the activation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Sunnyside Boulevard and 53rd Avenue NE. Single-lane closures will be in effect throughout the day for testing, prompting city officials to recommend alternate routes for drivers. This signal is part of a series of traffic safety enhancements aimed at addressing increasing traffic volumes in southeast Marysville, including the introduction of a two-way left-turn lane and the removal of certain on-street parking spaces. Mayor Jon Nehring will host a "Coffee Klatch" on September 22 at the Marysville Civic Center to engage with residents about local issues. The meeting will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.

m. and will also be available on Facebook Live. Residents are encouraged to voice their concerns and questions during this informal setting. Following the conversation, a City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p. m.
