Block grant report open for public review

The City of Marysville is encouraging residents to review the 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This report assesses the program's achievements in alignment with the goals outlined in the Consolidated Plan. It highlights significant projects funded by the CDBG, such as a new roof for the Marysville Community Food Bank and in-home meal services for low-income families. A public hearing is scheduled for 7 p. m.

on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at the Marysville Civic Center, allowing residents to express their views. Written comments must be received by 4 p. m. that day, and can be sent via email or traditional mail.

The CDBG program aims to enhance community resources and support low-income individuals, particularly seniors and children. Feedback from the public will be integral in shaping future initiatives. This engagement reflects the city's commitment to transparency and community involvement in its development programs.
