Block grant report open for public review

Marysville, WALocal News

Marysville residents can review the 2024 CAPER for the CDBG program, which evaluates the city's progress on community development projects. Funded initiatives include renovations to the Boys and Girls Club and services that support low-income seniors and disabled adults. A public hearing will be held at 7 p. m. on September 8 at the Marysville Civic Center, where residents can voice their opinions.

Written comments are also welcome and must be submitted by 4 p. m. the same day via email or mail. The report outlines the impacts of federally funded projects and how they align with the city’s development priorities. Community feedback is essential for assessing the effectiveness of these initiatives.

By engaging residents in this process, the city aims to enhance transparency and accountability in its funding programs. The findings from this report will inform future action plans and service offerings.
