Lynnwood City Councilmember Robert Leutwyler earned a Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities after completing over 30 hours of training. The certificate recognizes elected officials for their training in critical areas, including roles and responsibilities, community planning, and effective local leadership. AWC CEO Deanna Dawson emphasized the challenges of city leadership and the program’s role in providing essential knowledge. Leutwyler, appointed to the council in March 2025, serves as a liaison to both the Lynnwood Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission and the Parks & Recreation Board.
