In Days Gone By Revitalizing the Meadowdale Community Club

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Meadowdale Community Club hosted an open house on Saturday, drawing around 100 attendees as part of its initiative to rejuvenate community involvement following COVID-19 disruptions. Participants were invited to view historical photos and share ideas for future activities, such as social events and community service projects. Organizers facilitated interaction, allowing attendees to "second" ideas by placing dots next to them on suggestion sheets. The event emphasized community connection, with name tags indicating how long attendees had lived in the area. Cottage Bakery provided refreshments, and craft tables engaged children during the event.

The interim directors and planning committee members led the organization, aiming to enhance the club's role in the community. Since its establishment in the 1950s, the club has served as a central hub for residents of Edmonds, Lynnwood, and unincorporated Snohomish County. This open house represents a crucial step in revitalizing the club’s outreach and usage post-pandemic.
