Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Verdant Health Commission, in collaboration with the Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI), is excited to present "Walk with a Latina Doc" on September 21, 2024, starting at 9 a. m. at Meadowdale Middle School in Lynnwood. This free program is designed to encourage community members to engage in physical activity while learning about health from a knowledgeable physician. Dr.

Alina Urriola, a board-certified physician with expertise in family medicine, preventive medicine, and lifestyle medicine, will lead the walk. She has a strong commitment to the Latino community and has volunteered with Lahai Health in Lynnwood for over 10 years. Although Dr. Urriola will not provide individual health consultations during the walk, she will be available to answer general health questions, fostering an open dialogue about wellness. Participants are required to fill out a Walks Registration Form to ensure emergency information is accessible if needed.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in to facilitate a smooth start to the event. This initiative not only promotes physical health but also strengthens community bonds, making it a significant opportunity for local engagement.
