Meadowdale and Edmonds-Woodway Girls Soccer Teams Achieve Victories

The Meadowdale girls soccer team claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory against King’s in a non-conference match held on September 10. Senior captain Izzy Falarme scored the only goal, leading the team to their first win of the season. The defensive efforts by goalkeepers Jordan Brannon and Baili Kothe ensured that King’s could not find the back of the net, resulting in a shutout. Meadowdale's record now stands at 1-1, while King’s remains winless at 0-1. In another match, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors showcased their strength by defeating Marysville Getchell 4-0.

Janie Hanson was the standout player, netting three goals, with assistance from Viviana Adkins on two occasions. Goalkeeper Alice Everett's performance contributed to the shutout, bringing Edmonds-Woodway's record to 2-0, while Marysville Getchell drops to 1-2. Both teams are scheduled to compete again on September 12, promising more exciting local high school sports action.
