The Hazel Miller Foundation awarded $225,518 to 29 organizations during its 2025 spring grant cycle, marking a significant increase from the nearly $200,000 distributed in the previous cycle. The funding aims to enhance community services across Edmonds and neighboring areas, with Board Chair Shannon Burley noting the foundation's focus on missions that align with Hazel Miller's legacy. Among the recipients, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County received $5,000 to support its Healthy Lifestyles Initiative, while Girls on the Run was awarded $15,000 for financial aid to participants. The Foundation for Edmonds School District secured $2,500 for its Back to School Fair, expected to serve over 1,600 families this year. Additional grants included $5,000 for the Edmonds-Woodway High School Music Boosters Club and $7,500 for the House of Wisdom, which tutors immigrant and refugee students.

These investments reflect the foundation's commitment to addressing a wide range of community needs, from educational support to health and wellness programs. The diversity of funded organizations highlights the foundation's holistic approach to community enrichment.
