Snohomish Countys next Hotel-Motel Grant cycle opens

Snohomish County has opened applications for the first round of the 2026 tourism grant cycle, which will close on August 20, 2025. The grants, funded through the Hotel-Motel Small Fund, are designed to support projects that promote tourism in the region. The total funding for this cycle is projected to be $500,000, with awards typically ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. A second grant round, estimated at $300,000, will focus on promoting tourism in anticipation of major events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Eligibility for funding is broadly defined to encourage innovative proposals, as outlined in Snohomish County Code and Washington State law.

The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will evaluate applications and recommend funding to the Snohomish County Council for approval. Applications must be submitted digitally via email, and incomplete or hard copy submissions will not be accepted.
