Lynnwood Parks and Recreation Foundation hosts fundraiser Nov. 21

The Lynnwood Parks and Recreation Foundation will host a community meal fundraiser on November 21 at Chick-fil-A from 5 to 8 p. m. The event aims to raise $10,000 for community recreation programs supporting low-income youth and disabled and older adults. This year, the City of Lynnwood has approved 120 scholarships and invested over $9,000 in registration fees for scholarship recipients. Attendees must notify the cashier they are supporting the foundation to ensure a portion of their purchase is donated.

Foundation board members will be present to share insights about their initiatives and the importance of community support. The fundraiser represents a critical effort to enhance recreational access during the holiday season. Interested individuals can apply for scholarships online or at the Lynnwood Recreation Center.
