The City of Lynnwood is set to host a variety of community events throughout August, starting with the Sandlot Cinema series, which includes free outdoor movies on August 15 and 22. The films, "Mamma Mia! " and "Migration," will be shown at Lynndale Park, with activities kicking off at 6:30 PM and the movie starting at dusk. In conjunction with these events, South County Fire will hold a free Kids Fire Camp at the park, providing a fun and educational experience for children. On August 30, residents can celebrate the grand opening of the Lynnwood City Center Station, marking an important milestone with the introduction of light rail service to the city.

This event will take place from 4-8 PM, featuring festivities organized in partnership with the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce and Snotrac. Additionally, the Health and Safety Community Block Party, known as Fair on 44th, is scheduled for September 7, inviting families to enjoy vehicle tours and interactive activities. The Lynnwood Walks program, occurring every Thursday evening, encourages community members to engage in physical activity while exploring various routes.
