Resilience and strength 293 graduate from Mountlake Terrace HS

On June 14, 2025, Mountlake Terrace High School held a graduation ceremony for 293 students, marking a significant milestone as the first class to graduate without pandemic restrictions. Senior Haya Ibrahimy delivered a powerful speech, thanking her parents for their sacrifices and advocating for educational freedom, especially for girls. Principal Crosby Carpenter served as master of ceremonies, while other speakers, including Minh Pham and Justin Ho, emphasized resilience and the importance of personal growth. Pham spoke about the value of authentic connections, while Ho reminded his peers to draw strength from their collective experiences. Class-selected speaker Terina Papatu encouraged graduates to embrace uncertainty about their futures.

Valedictorian Brody Myers-Little highlighted the journey of life, stating it is shaped by experiences rather than a singular destination. This graduation ceremony not only celebrated academic achievements but also recognized the personal journeys and aspirations of the graduates. The event reflected the resilience and strength of the class of 2025 as they move forward into the next phase of their lives.
