School Board celebrates spring sports athletes and student advisors

During its June 10 meeting, the Edmonds School Board celebrated the accomplishments of spring student-athletes from local high schools. Athletic Director Angie McGuire acknowledged Catie Ingalls from Edmonds-Woodway High School for her leadership and First Team All-Wesco honors in softball, as well as her commitment to Nebraska Wesleyan University. Ella Campbell and Abby McCorvey, also recognized from Edmonds-Woodway, demonstrated resilience and skill, contributing to a significant turnaround for their softball team. Lynnwood High School's Sergio Navarro earned All-Wesco recognition in baseball, while Meadowdale's Jaeden Sajec led her fastpitch team to a successful season, earning a scholarship to Seattle University. The board praised the athletes' teamwork and dedication, which were instrumental in their successes, including championships and tournament appearances.

Nick Manz from Edmonds-Woodway also received accolades in track and field, showcasing the district's commitment to fostering athletic talent. This celebration underscores the importance of supporting student-athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits.
