The Edmonds Arts Festival announced its Gallery Arts award winners, distributing over $10,000 in prizes to regional artists during the event held June 13-15. Juror Amanda Houston awarded the top painting honors to Scot Briscoe for "Beneath Your Bloom The Silence of a Thousand Mornings," emphasizing the importance of technical ability and creative originality. In the mixed media category, Kristin Lane took first place with "Ruben," and David Henkes won for drawings with "The Blue Trio. " Juror Stephanie Hargrave presented awards for sculpture, with Steve Jensen's "Sinking Ship" earning the top honor. The festival received over 1,700 entries, reflecting the community's vibrant artistic scene.

Hargrave noted the courage displayed by artists in sharing their work, which contributes to the festival’s diverse artistic landscape.
