Expect nighttime work closures on I-405 in Bothell June 9-13

Nighttime work closures on I-405 in Bothell will occur from June 9-13 as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project. Northbound I-405 will close from 11:59 p. m. June 9 to 5 a. m.

June 10, along with the Northeast 160th Street on-ramp. From June 10 to June 13, southbound I-405 will see overnight lane reductions starting at 10:30 p. m. , with rolling slowdowns implemented to facilitate sign removal. These rolling slowdowns will temporarily halt traffic for up to 15 minutes to create gaps for safe access.

Ramps such as southbound I-405 to westbound SR 522 will also close, with detours in place. The Washington State Department of Transportation emphasizes that these measures are essential for the safety of both crews and drivers. Local residents should anticipate increased traffic and plan for delays during this construction period. This project aims to improve traffic flow and road safety in the Bothell area.
