Community Transit seeks public comment on Transit Development Plan

Community Transit in Snohomish County invites public feedback on its draft 2025-2030 Transit Development Plan until July 3. The plan focuses on enhancing service reliability and customer experience, with initiatives like safer bus stops and improved digital signage at stops and on buses. The agency plans to construct the Swift Gold Line and extend the Swift Green Line while transitioning to a zero-emissions fleet, piloting battery electric and fuel cell electric buses. Community members can comment through various channels, including a survey, email, or social media, as well as during a public hearing on July 3. This outreach effort encourages residents to influence local transportation improvements that align with community needs.

Officials highlight the importance of accessibility and sustainability in transit services. The plan aims to address growing demand for reliable public transportation options in the region. Community Transit hopes to foster greater connectivity within Snohomish County through these enhancements.
