Local prep athletes earn spring 2025 All-Wesco honors

Athletes from the Edmonds School District celebrated their selection to the All-Wesco conference for the spring 2025 sports season. In baseball, standout players included Andreas Simonsen and Trevelyan Podawiltz, both from Edmonds-Woodway, who secured spots on the 1st Team. The softball team also performed exceptionally, with Abby McCorvey and Ella Campbell earning 1st Team honors, while Coach Josh McClure received the Coach of the Year award. Recognition extended to boys and girls golf, where Floyd Villanueva and Kari Petterson were among the top honorees. In boys soccer, Alex Plumis and Benjamin Ikegami from Edmonds-Woodway were recognized on the 1st Team.

The track and field events highlighted athletes like Brian Mills and Nikolaus Nelson, showcasing the depth of talent in the district. These accolades reflect the hard work and dedication of student-athletes and coaching staff in the Edmonds School District. The recognition not only celebrates individual achievements but also fosters community pride in local high school sports.
