Free family gardening event set for June 7 at Point Edwards Farm
Baton Health and the Teladan Project will host a "Roots of Wellness" event on June 7 from 11 a. m. to 1:30 p. m. at Point Edwards Farm, focusing on family gardening and mental health.
The initiative responds to the growing demand for youth and family wellness programming. Attendees will engage in hands-on gardening, receive a take-home kit, and gain insights into mental health education. Nature-based self-care activities will take place in a scenic urban farm environment near downtown Edmonds. Due to limited parking, participants are encouraged to carpool or walk to the venue. Spots for the event are limited, and interested families should RSVP to secure their participation.
This event highlights the critical role of community-driven efforts in promoting family connection and mental health awareness. The Teladan Project and Baton Health aim to foster a supportive environment for families through such initiatives.
