MNNNs Nick Ng earns first place in regional journalism competition

Nick Ng, managing editor of My Neighborhood News Network, earned first place in the 2024 Excellence in Journalism Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists Region 10. His award-winning photograph showcased Sakha women dancing during the Yhyakh festival at Lynndale Park. The image was part of a larger story about Lynnwood families from the Republic of Sakha who gathered to celebrate the festival in June 2024. MNNN President and CEO Teresa Wippel commended Ng for his ability to capture the community’s rich diversity through photography.
