Edmonds Food Bank partners with LEVL, Waterfront Center for Juneteenth celebration June 19

The Edmonds Food Bank will join Lift Every Voice Legacy and the Edmonds Waterfront Center for the 2025 Juneteenth at the Beach event on June 19 from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. This year’s celebration will feature live performances, a children’s book reading, a screening of the film Hidden Figures, and free food for attendees.

A food drive will benefit the Edmonds Food Bank, collecting essential items such as baking products and canned fruit. Executive Director Casey Davis expressed pride in partnering for an event that uplifts community values and promotes inclusivity. The Edmonds Waterfront Center will kick off the food drive on June 2, encouraging contributions throughout the event. Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19, commemorates the announcement of freedom for enslaved African Americans in 1865 and serves as a call for justice and belonging. The collaboration aims to strengthen community ties and address food insecurity.
