Skandia schedules folk dances for June in Lynnwood

Skandia Folk Dance Society announces two folk dance events at Cedar Valley Grange in Lynnwood this June. The first dance, on June 6 from 7:30 to 10:30 p. m. , features Harry Khamis and Pat Pi teaching Åtabakspolska, a cherished dance from Sweden's Jämtland region. Attendees can enjoy live music from the Metrognomes during this event.

The second dance, scheduled for June 20, will also run from 7:30 to 10:30 p. m. , with Lisa Brooks and Elaine Mathies teaching polka and Busserull, a dance similar to Rørospols but in 2/4 time. Skandia Kapell, known for their engaging performances, will provide musical accompaniment for both events. Admission costs $15, while Skandia members pay $10, making it accessible for local dance enthusiasts.
