Prep track and field More medal winners and event qualifiers during day two of state meet

The 2025 WIAA State Track and Field Championships continued to showcase the talents of Edmonds School District athletes during day two at Mount Tahoma High School. Mountlake Terrace’s Allison Mervin narrowly missed the state title in the 3A girls triple jump, finishing second with a leap of 38-6 1/2. Brynlee Dubiel also excelled, securing third place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14. 89 seconds. The results were determined after a close examination of the official finish line photo, as Dubiel finished just behind second place.

Other notable performances included Sierra Swan, who placed fifth in the girls javelin throw. Several athletes qualified for finals on Saturday, including Dubiel in the 300-meter hurdles and Brian Mills in the 400-meter dash. The championships will conclude Saturday, where ten Edmonds School District athletes will vie for medals. These performances underscore the competitive spirit and talent within the district’s track and field program.
