The Puget Sound Bird Fest, now in its 21st year, drew hundreds of nature enthusiasts to Edmonds’ Frances Anderson Center for a weekend of activities. Participants engaged in guided bird walks, educational lectures on birding basics and avian migration, and explored over 20 booths at the Exhibitor Rookery. Co-hosted by the City of Edmonds and the Pilchuck Audubon Society, the festival promotes awareness of bird conservation efforts. Sunday’s agenda features additional guided nature walks, a native plant sale, and a boat cruise with Puget Sound Express, enhancing the community's connection to nature. Lectures from local experts provided valuable insights into birding and local history.

The Edmonds Christmas Bird Count was highlighted as part of the festival's educational offerings. Attendees can find more information about the event and ongoing conservation efforts via the Pilchuck Audubon Society’s website.
