Verdant Health Commission opens window for 2026 community grants

The Verdant Health Commission is accepting funding applications from June 2 through July 11, aimed at community nonprofits in South Snohomish County. Approximately $6 million is available for programs that support child, adolescent, and young adult mental health or enhance access to healthcare services. Awards will be announced in late September 2025, with contracts starting January 1, 2026, and concluding December 31, 2026. Karianna Wilson, president of the Verdant board, stated that there is a significant need for these services within the community. To assist applicants, Verdant will hold information sessions on June 6 and June 25.

Community members are encouraged to register for these sessions. The Verdant Health Commission has invested $87 million in local health initiatives since 2011, demonstrating its commitment to improving community health.
