Overnight lane reductions and rolling slowdowns on SB I-405 near SR 527 in Bothell, May 21-22, for sign removal

Nighttime rolling slowdowns will impact southbound I-405 in Bothell from May 21 to 22 as part of a roadway widening initiative. Lane reductions will commence at 10 p. m. on May 21 and conclude at 4 a. m.

on May 22, with rolling slowdowns implemented after midnight. Crews will halt traffic for up to 15 minutes to safely remove a sign bridge located between State Route 527 and Northeast 195th Street. During this period, several ramps will close, including the southbound I-405 to SR 527 ramp. Detours will be established to help drivers navigate around the construction site, and increased traffic should be expected. The project is part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project aimed at enhancing roadway safety and capacity.

WSDOT encourages drivers to stay informed through their website and mobile app for schedule updates. This project reflects ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in the region, benefiting daily commuters and local traffic flow.
