Shorewood's boys' track team achieved a remarkable victory at the Wesco 3A South Championships, scoring 217 points, while the girls' team finished second with 131. 5 points. Key individual winners included Hayes Stetler, who won both the 100 and 200 meters for the boys, and Hanna Bruno, who excelled in the 800 and 1600 meters for the girls. Meanwhile, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors secured a 3A State Tournament berth after an 11-1 win over Mount Vernon. The Warriors' offense was powered by Catie Ingalls, Abby McCorvey, and Ella Campbell, each recording three hits.

Campbell also pitched five innings, allowing just one run. The state tournament will begin on May 22 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey. Additionally, track and field athletes will prepare for the 3A NW District 1 Championships on May 21 and 23 at Shoreline Stadium. Both events highlight the local high school sports scene and the athletes' dedication and talent.
