Rotary Club of Lynnwood and Rotary Club of Manzini celebrate flag exchange and global grant partnership

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Rotary Club of Lynnwood hosted a flag exchange ceremony with the Rotary Club of Manzini, Eswatini, on May 15, 2025, marking a significant moment during Lindiwe Dladla's first visit to the United States. Dladla expressed gratitude to the local clubs for their support of the Days for Girls Global Grant, which successfully raised $103,000 for menstrual health initiatives. These funds enabled the distribution of washable menstrual pads to thousands of children in Eswatini, promoting dignity and access to education. The Lynnwood Rotary Club highlighted the importance of Rotary International's matching contributions that helped make the grant possible. The flag exchange serves as a symbol of the friendship and shared mission between the two clubs, united in their global service efforts.

Lynnwood Rotary Club meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month at noon at the Lynnwood Event Center. This partnership exemplifies the impact of international fellowship in addressing critical social issues. The initiative not only supports health education but also empowers young girls to continue their studies without interruption.
