The annual Jazz Connection brought local high school jazz musicians to the forefront in Edmonds on Saturday, showcasing their talents amidst rainy weather. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers, the event celebrated its 24th year, featuring jazz bands and choirs at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Five seniors received $2,500 scholarships aimed at facilitating their higher education, with recipients including Angela Adams and Santiago Gonzales-Corza. The event also included small combo improv jazz performances at the Edmonds Theater, highlighting the diverse musical talents of the students. Photographers captured various performances throughout the day, with plans to release photo galleries of the big bands and combos the following day.

The scholarships awarded reflect the Rotary Club’s commitment to investing in the education of local students. This year's Jazz Connection not only entertained but also reinforced community support for the arts and education. The event's success underscores the importance of local initiatives in nurturing young talent.
