Commercial Aviation Work Group meeting at Paine Field May 22

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Commercial Aviation Work Group will host its second public hybrid meeting on May 22 at Paine Field Airport in Everett, from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. This meeting is the group's fifth since the state Legislature established it in 2023 to evaluate the long-term commercial aviation and transportation needs of Washington.

Members are researching alternatives to increase aviation capacity and expand the use of existing airports, without the objective of finding new airport sites. The meeting will include a public comment period, allowing attendees to voice their opinions both in person and online. Public comments can also be submitted through an online contact form at any time. For those without broadband access, free temporary internet service will be available at various locations statewide. Participants must pre-register to attend the meeting online via Zoom, with a live stream also available on TVW.

The work group encourages public engagement through email updates.
