Sound Transit seeks input on Everett Link extension

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Sound Transit invites public input on nonmotorized access for the Everett Link extension from May 15 to June 29. The extension will add 16 miles of light rail and six new stations, connecting Lynnwood, unincorporated Snohomish County, and Everett. Residents can provide feedback through an interactive map or survey, as well as at public meetings scheduled for June 5 and June 17. The project will also include the Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF) North, which is essential for supporting light rail operations. Sound Transit is studying a provisional station, funded for planning but not yet for design or construction.

The in-person meeting will take place at Cascade High School in Everett, while the virtual meeting link is available on the public survey website. This initiative aims to improve nonmotorized access and enhance public transit options for future light rail stations. Local engagement is critical to addressing the unique needs of the communities involved.
