Shorewood and Stanwood emerged victorious in the 3A District 1 semifinals, with Shorewood defeating Edmonds-Woodway 2-0 in boys soccer and Stanwood edging out Edmonds-Woodway 2-1 in baseball. The loss for the baseball team means they will face Shorewood next for a chance to qualify for the state tournament. In softball, Edmonds-Woodway triumphed over Everett in a thrilling 9-8 game that extended into 10 innings, showcasing standout performances from players like Abby McCorvey and Catie Ingalls. The Warriors' next challenge will be against Snohomish, with the winner securing a spot in the state tournament. Meanwhile, Monroe eliminated Mountlake Terrace 5-3 in baseball, ending their season, while Snohomish defeated Meadowdale 10-0 in softball, concluding Meadowdale’s campaign as well.

Shorewood's softball team also advanced, winning decisively against Meadowdale. These results highlight the competitive nature of the district playoffs and the pressure on teams to secure their places in state competitions. Upcoming games promise to be critical as teams vie for advancement.
