Snohomish County Sheriffs Office investigating after Lynnwood woman shot in her home Tuesday

A home invasion in Lynnwood left a woman injured after an exchange of gunfire with a suspect on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 11:20 a. m. in the 900 block of 210th Place Southwest. The suspect forcibly entered the residence before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement later located him in Shoreline, where he was taken into custody. Both the woman and the suspect were treated at Harborview Medical Center for injuries sustained during the incident. Upon his release, the suspect is expected to face charges of first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. This incident highlights the ongoing concerns regarding safety and crime in residential neighborhoods. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
