Edmonds-Woodway clinched the Wesco 3A/2A baseball championship by defeating Shorewood 3-2 in a thrilling extra-inning game. Andreas Simonsen shone with three hits, scoring all three runs and stealing three bases, while Lukas Wanke pitched seven strong innings, allowing only five hits and two runs to improve to 6-0. Finn Crawford secured the victory with a flawless eighth inning, retiring all three batters he faced. The Warriors concluded the regular season with a 10-2 league record and a 16-5 overall record, marking their third consecutive league title. Their next challenge is against Monroe in the District playoff quarterfinals on May 10 at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

The District tournament features a double-elimination format, with four teams advancing to the state tournament. Shorewood's Joey Facilla pitched six innings, striking out eight but took the loss. The matchup against Monroe is critical as it will determine their path toward the state tournament.
