Trinity Lutheran Church sends love and warmth worldwide on Quilt Sunday

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools celebrated its annual Quilt Sunday on April 27, displaying over 100 handcrafted quilts created by its dedicated quilting team. These quilts are dedicated to families in crisis, delivered through Lutheran World Relief, providing warmth and hope in regions affected by poverty and natural disasters. The church's Quilting Ministry has operated for decades, producing more than 100 quilts each year, although its annual output has decreased from over 200 quilts in previous years. In addition to international efforts, quilts are also given locally for confirmands and emergency needs. Quilting team members shared their joy in creating these quilts, likening each one to “a cup of love — stitched in friendship.

” Participation in the ministry is open to everyone, encouraging community involvement. The church aims to foster a sense of belonging and compassion through its quilting efforts. To get involved, individuals can contact the church office for more information.
