The trolley service declined in the 1920s due to the rise of the automobile, ceasing operations in 1939. Afterward, the trolley tracks were removed, but the right-of-way evolved into pedestrian trails and bike paths. Ryan, who has a deep connection to the area's history, emphasizes the importance of preserving and sharing this heritage.
