Overnight lane reductions and rolling slowdowns on southbound I-405 April 30-May 2

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Starting April 30, overnight lane reductions will affect southbound I-405 from State Route 527 to Northeast 195th Street until May 2. Crews will conduct rolling slowdowns after midnight to remove signs as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project. Drivers should expect delays and increased traffic in the Bothell area during these hours. Closed ramps include the I-5 northbound and southbound on-ramps, SR 525 on-ramp, and SR 527 on-ramp, with detours available. The Washington State Department of Transportation is overseeing the project, which aims to widen the roadway and improve traffic flow.

Rolling slowdowns will temporarily halt traffic for up to 15 minutes to safely create gaps for sign removal. Local commuters are advised to plan accordingly to avoid delays. This construction is part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and manage traffic congestion in the region.
