Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Edmonds Arts Festival, a beloved community event since 1958, thrives thanks to the dedication of around 35 Festival Directors and nearly 500 volunteers. Each September, these passionate organizers gather to strategize for the next festival, bringing expertise in areas such as gallery arts and performing arts. Volunteers are essential during the festival, taking on roles that include booth setup and visitor assistance, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees. This year, the festival will take place over Father’s Day weekend, drawing thousands to enjoy artist booths, live performances, and delicious food. A portion of the profits supports the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, which provides art scholarships and education grants.

The foundation also promotes public art and supports local art organizations. The festival highlights Edmonds' status as Washington's first certified Creative District. Engaging the community through the arts fosters a vibrant cultural landscape in the charming waterfront city.
