Jon Walter Nelson Celebration of Life June 1 at Ballard Elks

Jon Walter Nelson passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving behind his wife, Lisa, and two children, Ryan and Emma. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1983 and began his career as a Customs Broker, ultimately working for Nordstrom for 18 years before retiring in 2020. Nelson enjoyed fishing and hunting, with family traditions centered around salmon fishing on Vancouver Island. He actively participated in the Little League community, coaching and supporting his children. The family expressed their deep sadness and shock over his sudden death, as he was also predeceased by his parents and in-laws.

Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life at Sunset Bay Lodge on June 1, 2025, from 4-8 PM to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations to favorite charities in Jon's honor are encouraged. His community will remember him for his sincerity and love of meaningful discussions.
