Celebrating 100 years, Alderwood Garden Club hosting annual plant sale April 26 in Lynnwood

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Alderwood Garden Club (AGC) is celebrating a century of service with its annual plant sale on April 26, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Grange in Lynnwood. This significant milestone highlights the club's dedication to enhancing local gardens and fostering community connections. Member Suzy Chandler notes that the sale will showcase high-quality, locally sourced plants, with favorites such as peonies and hellebores expected to attract many buyers. To facilitate a smooth shopping experience, volunteers will be available to help load plants directly into customers' vehicles, and various payment options will be accepted. Proceeds from the event will not only fund a horticulture scholarship through the Edmonds College Foundation but also support community projects and club activities.

The AGC is committed to sustainable gardening, focusing on native species and environmentally friendly practices. Monthly meetings offer valuable gardening tips and resources, reinforcing the club’s mission to cultivate both gardens and friendships. Interested individuals can reach out to Membership Chairperson Barb Beaman for more information about joining the club.
