Ocean Annie Crawley to headline Earth Day celebration at Edmonds Waterfront Center April 22

Annie Crawley, an award-winning filmmaker and ocean advocate, will headline the Earth Day Celebration at the Edmonds Waterfront Center on April 22, from 5-8 p. m. Her keynote presentation, "Our Power-Our Voice-Our Planet," will take attendees on a multimedia journey through the history of Earth Day while showcasing inspiring stories of nature's resilience. Crawley emphasizes the need for community connection and action to create lasting environmental change, stating, "When we protect our backyard, we protect our community and ourselves. " The event will feature more than a dozen local environmental organizations with exhibit tables, providing resources for community involvement.

Crawley encourages attendees to deepen their relationship with nature and live in balance with the environment. The celebration will also include accommodations for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, such as subtitles and assistive listening devices. With limited seating available, RSVPs are recommended, though walk-ins will be welcomed on a space-available basis. The Edmonds Waterfront Center is located at 220 Railroad Ave. , Edmonds.
