Karen Miller, a beloved resident of Mountlake Terrace, WA, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on January 4, 1933, in Jordan, MN, she moved to Seattle in pursuit of adventure and married Jim Miller in 1954, with whom she raised six children. Throughout her life, Karen was deeply involved in public service, holding positions such as a member of the Snohomish County Council and the Terrace Planning Commission, where she made significant strides for girls' athletics in local schools. Her commitment to community welfare earned her the prestigious Maybell Chapman Award in 1997, highlighting her influence in South Snohomish County. Karen's passion extended beyond politics; she was an avid traveler, reader, and sports fan, often seen cheering at her children's and grandchildren's events.

She dedicated her later years to affordable housing initiatives and served on various boards, retiring only at 89. Karen leaves behind a legacy of advocacy, love, and family, remembered fondly by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her life exemplified the spirit of community engagement and dedication.
